Well, it’s Monday and I thought I’d start the work week off on a humorous note. In continuation of a previous geeky stuff post, here’s two more to add to the list. Well, actually just one…the second is a great resource for your website, but I got the info. on it from a ‘geeky’ source.
I found this humorous test on justsayhi that measures ‘how much geek is coursing through your veins’. Apparently, I’m 41% geek…I don’t know if that’s enough geek for Fresh Geeks ;). There are more quizzes and tests to take for fun on the site. I chose the geek quiz for obvious reasons. It’s a quick two-minute test. If you decide to take it, I’d be interested in knowing your percentage.
Speaking of scores, I was browsing through Randy Brown’s blog over at GrownUpGeek, and his most recent post was an article on the SEO “Score” tool at Domaintools. To find out the SEO score for a website, do a whois lookup by typing the domain name in the search box. You’ll find the SEO text browser to the right of your results page. The browser allows you to view a website the way a search engine does.
To the right of the address bar on the SEO text browser, you will see your SEO score highlighted in green. You will also see suggestions for improving your sites SEO in the area beneath the address bar on the browser. If you click on the thumbnail of the screenshot above this paragraph, it’ll give you a glimpse of what the browser looks like.
I in no way claim to be an SEO expert of any sort, so I cannot tell you how accurate this browser is. But anyway, here are my results:
Suggestions for Improving Fresh Geeks’ SEO: Not all images on page have width & height dimensions: Make sure all img tage have height & width attributes.
So, how did you score for both the geek quiz and SEO for your site(s)?

I just took the Geek Quiz. I’m 59% geek — lucky me!
55% Geek-and I’m a chick.
Hmmm…this is making me have second thoughts about my geekiness lol
I think it was the video games and Star Trek questions that did me in.
