If you have a flagship blogging blog, what purpose does it serve for you? I just wanted to get your perspectives and opinions about the question.
For me, I’ve made more money from my Blogspot blogger blogs (niche blogs) than I’ve ever earned with Fresh Geeks.
I don’t feel Fresh Geeks is a total waste of my time though because I use this site as a piggyback for my other sites. I keep posting here partly so the Googlebot keeps in touch, and I use Fresh Geeks to help Google find my other freshly made websites and blogs. For this purpose, this site has served me well.
Misery loves company, and so do bloggers. It’s great to have some company and network with bloggers who are also working towards the same goals of making money online and doing so as efficiently as possible.
Not only can I use Fresh Geeks for my self-serving purposes, but it’s great to help a fellow blogger out through this site via announcement or reviews posts and what-not…I don’t mind doing this at all as I’ve received (and am still receiving) help from fellow bloggers.
So, what’s your purpose for your flagship blogging blog?
If you liked what you read, stay updated by subscribing to Fresh Geeks' RSS. Thanks for visiting and come often.
At first my blog was meant to make me money but being a total noob at the time I didn’t know what I was doing. It took months before I got any money made and that wasn’t even from my blog. It is only recently that I have been keeping up with the blogosphere and doing what I have to do to make it.
So I still want it to make me money but now it is somewhere for me to go and write about what I have learnt and every now and then let off steam, like my recent post, Who cares what John Chow had for dinner?
My main blog is mainly a networking tool. I use in much the same way as you’ve described above. Blogging in a great way to meet new people, and keep in touch. I look at blogging as a very nice alternative to all of the stupid “friend” requests I got from people I didn’t even know on myspace.
I do also use it as a way to promote my other blogs. Although lately, I haven’t been posting much on any of them. I plan to get started up again more frequently here in the next few days. I’ll be sure to stop by your Local Kine blog to see if there’s anything I want to link to.
Talk to you later,
Todd
