The Blogging Toolbox will be a weekly blogging guides featured topic here at Fresh Geeks. It is aimed to be a collective repository based on the needs of the reviewed blogs of Project Fresh Slant.
Every week, I’ll be featuring a few tools and Wordpress plugins that Project Fresh Slant reviewees, as well as all [Wordpress] bloggers, may find handy.
If you’ve created a tool or plugin that you would like featured here, drop me a line using either the contact form or the comments section here, and we can discuss it.
If you’re in the process of coding and redesigning your blog and would like to save yourself some much needed time, you may want to check out Browsershots. Browsershots is a site that creates screenshots of your blog or website allowing you to test it in over 20 different versions of internet browsers.
Browsershots is free to use and very easy to navigate. Just type in your website’s URL in the designated box, check the boxes next to the browser’s that you would like to create screenshots of, and Browsershots does the rest of the work for you.
Exclude Pages allows you to do just that…exclude the pages that you don’t want showing up in the top navigation bar. It adds this option on the WYSIWYG editing page in your Wordpress page manager.

Simply install the plugin, activate it in the plugins page, and check or uncheck the box to use this function.
I recently added a Google Custom Search bar to one of my blogs. If you would like Google’s search results to appear within your blog, you need to create a page for it on your site. I didn’t want this created page to show up on the navigation bar right below my header as it was unnecessary.
Since I’m not really that much of a coder, the Exclude Pages Wordpress plugin came in very handy.
Check back later for more Wordpress tools, plugins, and hacks.

That’s a good idea. I’m always up for better ways to do something or better plugins.
Thanks!
Thanks for your thoughts Jeff!
That about Excluding Pages From the Navigation Bar, can be very useful. Thanks.
