Motorola RZRs roasting on the grill…Well, at least that’s what it looks like. Actually, what the cell phones are placed on is a charger pad called the Wild Charger. It’s a flat pad with a conductive surface.

Just snap the Wild Charger Adapter to the back of your phone (It either snaps on to the battery cover or replaces the whole thing. No tools are necessary to install the adapter. See the picture below), place it on the pad at whatever angle you please, and as long as the adapter remains in contact with the pad the charging process is started.

It’s a trendy gadget and owning one makes for good conversation starters, but wouldn’t it be easier to plug into your average wall charger? It’s a simple two step process:

1)Plug regular charger into electric outlet

2)Plug other end of charger into phone

1)Remove battery cover

2)Snap on Wild Charger adapter

3)Plug Wild Charger pad into electric outlet

4)Place phone on Wild Charger pad

Then again, it’s just two extra steps to a cooler concept. The Wild Charger adapter and Wild Charger pad is available to purchase either as a bundle or seperately for an MSRP of $34.99 for the adapter, $89.99 for the bundle, and $59.99 for the charger pad alone.

As of now, the wild charger adapters are only available for AT&T and Verizon Motorola RZR cell phones, but stay tuned for the upcoming Apple ipod charger and perhaps other phone models and portable media players…and maybe even a laptop charger.
