Because of the popularity of my post on simplifying technology ,which has received over 8,100 unique pageviews this past week, I decided to create a Tech Hacks category. Tech Hacks will be dedicated to humorous tips on simplifying technology and/or ways specific technologies can simplify things for us.

Do you have a life? Do you have the time and will-power to pull yourself away from work to get out and socialize (in real life face-to-face situations…MySpace and Facebook don’t count)?
Well, if you answered NO to both questions, then this is the product for you. The Lonely Guy Dream Vacation Digital Photo Frame allows you to appear to have a life with little to no effort on your part.
The Lonely Guy DPF Kit comes complete with your own green screen and a remote control.
Simply hang the green screen on your wall, snap a picture of yourself in front of it with your digital camera, load your picture onto the DPF, choose a background, and with the click of a few buttons you’ll appear to have a life and not be so lonely…with the pictures to prove it.
Here are some of your options:

With a price tag of $149.99, the Lonely Guy DPF Kit would be perfect for your work desk making you the envy of all your workmates. Yes, make your dreams appear a reality…

Is this for real? He’d want to change his pose, it’s the same in pic, must be a lefty
Oh yeah I forgot to say, congrats on being this weeks focus for the blog hop.
Yep, this is a real retail product.
rofl to this being real..but its pretty damn cool. Kinda funny and sad at the same time though.
Having to paste yourself with a fake family seems kind of sad - even for a lonely guy. But other than that, seems like a pretty cool product, although a bit expensive.
Only problem with it is when you show photos to people of your family, they might start asking questions and you get caught up in the lie.
Still there is always the blissfull period between when the lie is told and the truth is discovered
@Matt
What’s rofl?
@Gyutae
It’s in the same price range as regular DPFs of that size.
@Mike
“the blissful period between” haha I like that
@Everyone
The ‘Tech Hacks’ category is meant to be humorous and sarcastic. Don’t take it [too] seriously.
Shirt and tie, is that the new standard issue NASA uniform for going to the moon?
Sweet. I’ve been looking for a way to get to the moon. There’s no stopping me now.
Oh, and by the way,
rofl = rolling on the floor laughing
Could this come in a version for women too? And instead of a family, I want a guy named Rico who’s tan and not balding.
@Jeff
rofl…oh, ok. Thanks for clearing that up
@Beth
lol. I’ll go look for one of those for you.
Beth, you can me Rico if you like
In fact you can call me whatever you like, just don’t call me too early in the morning!! Ba dum dish!
Thanks folks, I’m here all week
I think Beth should call you Rico Suave! Hmmm, does that date me a little bit. Please tell me someone else knows who I’m talking about…
I think it might. Who is Rico Suave?
Rico Suave…rofl
I just wanted to try using the newly-learned acronym
Ok so let me get this straight, I’m calling Mike, Rico Suave now? AND OMG if you don’t know who Rico Suave is, go to LimeWire and just search for his name. He only had one song. Way back in the what late 80s, early 90s. Yes I am old at 34.
@Beth
What’s the song called? I’m guilty of not knowing who Mr. Suave is also.
lol it’s actually called “Rico Suave”- I found the video on YouTube:
Rico Suave
Oh my goodness, more rofl
Thanks Beth, that just made my day!
NOW you know when you hear the name “Rico Suave” why people giggle like little girls. I was a junior in High School when the song came out and as dumb as my friends and I were- we liked it, for the first 10 times we heard it because it seemed like the radio stations played it non-stop. So now, when you see a guy who thinks of himself as a stud, call him Rico lol
You got it!
Wow! Didn’t realize I would cause such a stir… LOL, ROFL, ROFLMBO, and whatever other combination of consonants you can throw together.
Thanks for providing the video Beth. That’s awesome! That takes me back to the day.
