How many of you out there are left-handed? I guess we should define what left-handedness is first, as this can be quite a controversial topic for some. Let’s go with the Wikipedia definition: “A person who is left-handed uses his or her left hand more than the right hand.”
According to this definition, I’m a lefty. I’m guessing the inventor of the computer mouse was right-handed.
That’s not a problem for me as I’ve taught myself to be somewhat ambidextrous.
Anyway, I thought left-handed statistics would be great for this week’s Factoid of the Week:

Intended to prevent smudging of ink on hand as well as paper when writing. Writing with your left hand in the direction of left to right will cause your hand drag over the writing surface, thus causing the ink from the writing utensil to smear onto your hand. Not only will you have smudges on your hand, it’s very likely you will have smudged the writing on the paper to. The Smudge Guard is designed to prevent both of these occurences.
Personally, I don’t have a problem with this as I’ve learned to write ‘cautiously’, but I imagine this would help children in school. It kinda looks like 1/5 of a glove…sporting the Michael Jackson look will also probably do the trick as far as smudging is concerned.

An ergonomic mouse for the left hand complete with sculpted elevated buttons and elevated wrist support. It’s available in both right and left hand models for an MSRP of $109.99 at TheLeftHand.
*FYI - I prefer a right-handed mouse to keep my left hand free to write and drink my coffee while I’m using the computer.

A knife and corkscrew gizmo for the left-handed. I didn’t know that regular corkscrews were based on right-handedness…interesting. The Waiter’s Friend allows for opening wine bottles in a natural left-handed motion.

Well, I take it you’re a righty then…lol
They say lefties are children of the devil.
I’m glad I’m a righty so I can enjoy all of my cool gadgets.
Hmm…I think I’m losing a battle here. Aren’t there any lefty bloggers out there? Help me out
Lefty or Righty…we’re all here on Earth trying to make the best of the handedness we’re born with. So let’s take the negativity out of the equation, okay? As human beings, lefty’s and righty’s are ALL cool! =)
Merritt from Autoblog.com is a leftie…
@Sean
Yay, +1 point!
ok J.blu, that’s about 2 pints for lefties and how many for “Righties”?
I think you may end up being sorry you ever posted about this.
Good to know that there are product makers manufacturing goods for the left handed persons. I just now realized that if there are market for the right handed, left handed persons should also be consider by the product makers. In that way left handed persons will be given equal opportunities same as the right handed persons .
