Capture Sunlight in a Jar

Grab some sunlight and save it for later with Sun Jar. This nifty gadget magically captures sunlight during the day so that you can use it at night. Well, the process isn’t exactly magical…there’s a solar panel in the jar lid, and rechargeable batteries inside of the jar. Just place it in direct sunlight during the day, and it’ll light up when the sun goes down.

Sun Jar is made from frosted glass with a waterproof seal, so use it as outdoor as well as indoor ‘mood lighting’. It requires 3 hours of direct sunlight for a complete charge, and give up to 5 hours of continuous light. With an MSRP of around $29.95, these would make great little gifts.
