Blog Hop, Skip, & a Jump
30 November 07It’s always a good idea to come up with creative ways to network with fellow bloggers to promote your own blog. However in order to continually receive support, a system is needed in which all parties involved are benefited. So what are our options?
Blog Hopping
Let’s make like a rabbit and go hopping. Well, not exactly…Coined by Gyutae Park, blog hopping is a system based on the concept of bar hopping. A bunch of people stop over at a bar and have a few drinks, socialize, pick up more people to join them, and then head over to another bar. This process is repeated over and over until you either pass out or the sun rises.
In the Blog Hopping system, one blog is featured for a week. During this week, the blog hopping party will head over to the featured blog and provide support in the form of commenting, etc. After that week, the previous featured blog will then choose the next week’s featured blog. This choice should be based on who was most active and supportive. This process is repeated over and over until we all pass out and get blogtoxicated.
This system promotes a bond as well a sense of community among those participating, and should do well for your blog promotion campaign. It’s all about giving and receiving support. So head over to the Blog Hopping Project over at WinningtheWeb for more details on how to get involved.
Blogging Idea Generation

This seems like a great idea. It is a great way to make friends and loyal readers as blogging can be a lonely business if you are on your own.
Yes, it’s important to network socially if you want more exposure and support for your site.
