It’s a sunny day with tradewinds of 5-10mph. There’s a nice 1-3 ft. swell and you’ve already paddled out into the water. The ripples start making its way toward you and you begin to line yourself up for the catch. Thrusting your hands into the water, you paddle as fast as you can. Leaning forward with your chest raised, you start to feel the wave thrusting you and your board forward. It’s time to stop paddling and pounce up. As you begin your descent down the trough of the wave, you feel a surge of adrenaline pumping through your body. This motivates you and your surfing buddies to celebrate with a loud “Cheeeeeeeeeee-Whooo!”
